"My Hero" Writing & Drawing Activity | International Women's or Mother's Day

Perfect for celebrating Favorite Women in History, International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, and more, this activity invites students to create heartfelt messages for the influential women in their lives. Students can choose a cover and select lined or unlined paper for the inside. After coloring or decorating with stickers, they can write their messages before cutting out the "mirror" or "painting," depending on their perspective. Messages can include sentiments such as "All the reasons why you're a great mom" or "All the reasons why you're my hero." This activity can also be used as a research project where students reflect on powerful women in history. Additionally, students can draw themselves and write about their own attributes.
