Description
Brownies learn more about their families by creating cute, doodle-style memory books. They share family stories and traditions, think about what makes their family members special, find out about special family objects, and design their own family crests. Girls may also work together to color and craft an optional troop story tree poster.
This printable paper activity pack is designed to fulfill Brownie My Family Story badge - Steps 1-5. It may be worked within the troop setting or at home by a single girl with adult support. Please note that even when working within the troop setting, two parts of the memory book will need to be completed at home with the help of an adult family member. These parts are the "Family Recipe" and "Something Special" pages. In some instances, girls may need help completing additional pages of the book as well. Girls may take one to two meetings to complete the book.
The optional troop story tree poster can accommodate up to ten girls. If your troop is larger than this, you will need to print and assemble two or more posters to create a forest of story trees.
