My Book of Conversational Phrases {Idioms & Common Figures of Speech}

Since we're "all in the same boat"...the Common Core that is, why not use this 38 page book to teach your teach the figurative language standards of the Common Core. Authors use figurative language, or "figures of speech...idioms" to make a point when expressing their literary ideas. This book contains 25 common figures of speech and includes a blank page if you would like to add more. The book is perfect for a literary elements lesson around Valentine's Day because figures of speech are conversational phrases (like conversation heart candy) that we all use when speaking figuratively. However, this book can be used anytime of year and that is why I have included two book covers for you to choice from.
