My Alphabet Book: Reading & Tracing Letter Names

This product is simple yet powerful for all students entering Kindergarten that do not yet know alphabet letter names. In a daily routine of reading and tracing this Alphabet book, students will begin to learn letter names by reading and tracing each letter of the alphabet. Until become independent at reading and tracing alphabet letters, the reading of this book and the tracing of each letter should be guided by the teacher, paraprofessional. All directions are included for how to use this book as Tier 1 core alphabet instruction and how to use it as a Tier 2 intervention for Letter Naming Fluency (LNF), Letter Sound Fluency (LSF) and Picture ID for letter, sound, picture cross-matching. All directions for assembly are included and the research base for the teaching and learning of the alphabetic principle and what research says about teaching order of letter names, letter sounds, letter shapes and initial sounds of pictures. Students should read this book everyday for the first 60 days of school or until students can pass LNF with 90% accuracy or pass a Letter ID Test naming at last 50/55 letters including irregular a, g and y.
