Description

This fun, fall themed whiteboard activity can be used for students to practice basic rhythm notation using quarter, double eighth, quarter rest and half notes. It can also be used as an assessment tool to assess student's understanding of basic rhythm notation.
Click the pictures and notes to hear the words that are associated with basic rhythm notation, and click the notes to hear "tah", "ti-ti" and "shh!" In addition, a wind picture, "brrr!" depicts the half note that lasts for 2 beats.
Students will enjoy creating their own Rhythms of Fall as they drag pictures and notes onto the pumpkin "measures". They can then clap, speak and/or touch the notes or pictures to hear the spoken notation.
