Music History for kids

This is a PowerPoint presentation that I made to sort of outline the basics of the five periods of music history that I decided to focus on in my classroom:
1. Gregorian Chant
2. Renaissance
3. Baroque
4. Classical
5. Romantic

There are a few slides per each period, and the Gregorian, Renaissance, and Baroque slides each end with one slide that has a version of "Hot Cross Buns" in the style of that particular musical period. (But if your kids aren't big on recorder, you can absolutely skip those, or just use them to illustrate those periods' harmony.)

There is a brief review in the last three pages of the PowerPoint.

There is also a "guided listening worksheet" that goes along with it that the kids have to fill in the answers for as they read the PowerPoint out loud with you.
