Description
Even your most reluctant students will unleash their competitive side when you show them a music escape room. In these fun printable and digital music escape rooms, students will work individually, in teams, or as a class to answer questions related to topics like instruments of the orchestra, treble clef note reading, and more. With versions for both lower and upper elementary music students, there is something for everyone! But the question remains the same: can you escape the room in time?
Kids will love working with (or competing against!) their peers in escape rooms based on different topics and storylines. For example, they will…
✅ save the school orchestra from zombies
✅ rescue Clara from the Mouse King
✅ help aliens repair their spaceship
…and more!
No additional purchases are necessary to use the music escape rooms! Don't worry about buying UV lights, glow-in-the-dark markers, or other oddities - all of the clues can be easily disguised within a typical classroom, whether it be a music room or whether you are on a cart. Plus, since all of the escape rooms are no-prep or low-prep, you’ll save precious planning time while pulling off an unforgettable music class!
This bundle includes the following:
Lower elementary escape rooms:
⭐️ Carnival of the Animals (digital)
⭐️ Peter and the Wolf (digital)
Upper elementary escape rooms:
⭐️ Nutcracker (digital or printable)
⭐️ In the Hall of the Mountain King (digital or printable)
⭐️ Instrument families (printable)
⭐️ Rhythm - sixteenth notes (printable)
⭐️ Science of sound (printable)
⭐️ Treble clef (printable)
The lower elementary escape rooms are simplified, easy to navigate, and self-checking. These escape rooms are brief enough for young attention spans. The amount of time required to complete them may vary; plan to budget 10-15 minutes of class time. Pair them with themed movement activities for a well-rounded class!
Upper elementary escape rooms all include printable versions (some also include digital versions, which are self-checking) and require more complex knowledge and puzzle-solving skills to complete. Completion times may vary depending on a variety of factors including students’ musical knowledge and puzzle-solving abilities. (Don’t be afraid to throw some hints out there!) Depending on your class, I recommend budgeting 30-60 minutes for these escape rooms.
Never run an escape room before? No worries! Each escape room also comes with a teacher guide to help you feel comfortable running the game - or even have a parent, IA, or sub run it.
