Description

This music game is a fun way to review recognizing unpitched percussion instruments with your elementary music students.

The product uses the following non-pitched percussion instruments: triangle, egg shakers, tambourine, cowbell, claves, wood block, hand drum, bells (wrist bell/jingle stick), finger cymbals, rhythm sticks, rainstick, tone block, guiro, tick tock block, sandblocks and maracas. Since some of the instruments (bells/rhythm sticks/tick tock blocks) might look a little different in your classroom I have included pictures of both on the playing boards for ease of instruction.

The resource is included in a Mega Bundle: Musical Instruments Non-Pitched Percussion Games + Assessments {Mega Bundle}. Click on the bundle link for additional details. Consider purchasing the bundle to save money!

In order for younger students just mastering the concept of recognizing instruments to be successful and not overwhelmed this music bingo game has 3 columns and 3 rows instead of the typical 5 columns and 5 rows. Your kindergarten and first grade students will love playing the game! Moving at a reasonable pace all students should be able to win in 10 minutes playing Blackout Bingo. If you are playing Lines Bingo you will have a winner in 3-4 minutes.

The 22 page pdf file consists of 16 different playing cards, a master card of all instruments utilized in the game, calling cards and directions. If you have more than 16 students in your class feel free to make additional copies of the playing cards! Cards are color coded if you need to make an additional copy so it is easy to determine which students have the same card.
