What educators are saying

These sorting cards are well-made and an excellent way to review the 3 types of muscle tissue. I used this at the beginning of my muscular system unit when we reviewed the different locations of muscle in the body.

Description

As I began my Muscle Basics Unit this year I was wanted a quick way to review the 3 types of muscle tissue (skeletal, cardiac, and smooth)... and thus were born Muscle Tissue Sorting Cards!

Included are 40 sorting cards on the three types of muscle tissue.

My students learn about the 3 Types of Muscle Tissue in our Histology Unit (so they already know the 3 types). If you are looking for a set of notes and PowerPoint on the 3 types of muscle tissue, take a look at this resource: Muscle Tissue Doodle Notes. These cards coordinate perfectly with the previous resource.

It took my students about 10 minutes to sort the cards. Once they were done sorting, they took review notes on the 3 types of muscle tissue (notes chart and key provided in this resource), which took an additional 10 minutes.

This resource comes from my full Muscular System Unit! It is also included in my Full-Year Anatomy & Physiology Curriculum.
