What educators are saying

This was a great resource to have to give to my 5th graders to help remember which way they move the decimal and how many times they move it!
Great resource to use during WIN time when I have a mix of grade levels in my room, but they are all on the same level in math.

Description

"Which way does the decimal go?" is a question I hear from my students, especially when they're multiplying and dividing with decimals. I came up with a quick anchor chart for them to refer to and it has helped tremendously!

This download has been updated to include seven anchor charts:

1) Multiply by power of 10 whole numbers

2) Divide by power of 10 whole numbers

3) Multiply by power of 10 decimals

4) Divide by power of 10 decimals.

5) Vocabulary Terms in Equations: Multiplication and Division

6) Vocabulary Terms in Equations: Addition and Subtraction

7) Vocabulary Terms in Equations: All four operations

You will receive two different versions: black and white, and color. Both versions are printed on letter paper, but can be enlarged to fit your needs.

The file is all one PDF. If you wish to make each page its own PDF you can do one of two things.

1) Use a PDF print program that takes apart PDFs.

2) Use the "Save to PDF" or "Print to PDF" feature on your computer. For this option, when the PDF is open, you can use your print controls and choose the "Print to PDF" or "Save to PDF" option. Then pick the page you wish to make a PDF of. If you want all of the pages separate, you will need to do this for each one.
