Description

Sprints are an integral part of the NY State math modules that help students develop the fluency needed as they progress in mathematics.

The following 27 worksheets are designed to help students develop fluency. Each times table (2-9) and mixed worksheets have 3 versions varying in difficulty and patterns.

Students cant be assessed by timing students for 30 seconds, 1 minutes or 2 minutes depending on student performance level. The same version can be given multiple times to monitor progress and the 3 different versions make sure there is enough sprints for each unit.

Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Interpret products of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 5 × 7 as the total number of objects in 5 groups of 7 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a total number of objects can be expressed as 5 × 7.
Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.
