Boot Camp Classroom Transformation with Multiplication Facts
I have now added a new version of this resource. It now includes a version with LESS CUTTING, worksheets for each fact, and answer keys to go along with each one. I am in love with this new version and it is super easy to copy, cut, and glue into student notebooks in quick mini-lessons during math. I have also added a color version of the character posters so you can choose between black/white and color.
Over the past few years, I have realized that memorization of multiplication facts doesn’t come easily to all my students. Flash cards just don’t work for some students. I came up with these stories to help students that struggle to remember their multiplication facts.
I created a “character” for each number. Students associate each number with a character. Then, when they think of a multiplication fact, they are thinking of what happens when the two characters meet each other.
My students LOVE these stories and memorization has become something FUN and ENGAGING in my classroom. I think your kids will love these stories just as much as mine have and your kids fluency WILL improve.
