What educators are saying

I love how this shows real life items in arrays. It makes it so much more visual for students to better understand the concept. Great resource.
This resource was very helpful when introducing arrays and practicing writing repeated addition sentences to solve the total amount of objects in an array.

Description

Arrays 52 Real World Life Photos in TWO SIZES, Anchor Chart Posters,&Task Cards with Recording Sheets

Arrays are such an enjoyable concept to teach in math, but what makes it even more delightful is when you, as a teacher, can bring real world applications to it. What I love the most is when a student starts to see these arrays around them on their own! This is a great resource photographed examples to help your children with repeated addition and multiplication.

What Do I Do With This Resource?

Each photo is represented two ways. The first is a full paper size. Great as a small poster or to use during lessons. All your students will be able to see the array at the same time. The second way is four per sheet in a task card format. Use this format for a center or in a small group.

Want to use the task cards as a center or a math tub? There are three recording sheets included. One for addition, one for multiplication, and one for both. Just choose twelve task cards for your students to work on or you can have them choose twelve themselves randomly. In each rectangle there is a small square to indicate which task card they answered. These are also great for using for a game of whole class Scoot!

Also included in this resource are three anchor chart posters that are fabulous for your lessons! Hang them up around the room and your students will have that reference they need during their independent work.

Common Core standard Addressed:

2.OA.C.4 Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.
