What educators are saying

This core board has been so helpful to have on hand. Mr. Potato Head is something I'm always reaching for, so I love having this already made for me and ready to go!
I love how simple this is and how it can be used to really facilitate the communication of the child working with Mr. Potato Head. It is a great resource and I am so glad I bought it!

Description

A 4x4 AAC core board with 16 symbols that would be helpful in targeting requesting ("I want") and body parts. Symbols here are pictures of the real-life object, which is ideal for students still learning symbol representation and meaning.

Available in 3 versions: simple b&w, coloured borders or filled symbols.

Can be used to complement any activities that use Mr. Potato Head as a reinforcer.

An example of how to use:

Keep all the pieces of Mr. Potato Head. Place core board where it is most accessible to child and entice them with different pieces by holding out a piece or presenting them with a choice (e.g., hands or eyes). As your child reaches out for an item, direct their hand to the core board to model the target request e.g., "I" + "want" + "body part". Continue to model the target request until child becomes more independent in using the core board.
