Description

This download includes activities instructions, templates for materials, and require minimal outside materials besides an open space, paper, yarn, and random number generators (dice). Simple and easy fun for your students. Great to take students outside on a nice day, structured recess, use these activities at Math Nights, possibilities are truly endless.


Move It, Move It and Learn It: MATH! programs contains a collection of FUN and EXCITING games tailored to teh 3rd grade levels standards. These four activities in this lesson plan require students to apply math skills, think critically, and get out of their seats and moving! Teachers can employ these activities as a whole, or individually, in order to enhance their students’ classroom experience. Every lesson plan aligns with grade-specific SOLs, and aims to challenge students with high energy interaction.

3rd Grade Activities:

Elbow Tag: Quick Multiplication Facts, or even review of addition/subtraction
Place Value Dash: Place Values and Critical Thinking
Dice Craze: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division and physical activity all in one activity

100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens - called a “hundred.”
