What is the purpose of this bulletin board? This board is designed to encourage students to motivate one another using famous inspirational quotes as well as their own words of encouragement.
How does the bulletin board work? There are 44 Polaroid cards with famous quotes on them and 44 Polaroid cards without quotes. To begin, post all of the cards with quotes on the board. Throughout the year, if a student needs some inspiration or motivation, they can head over to the board and take a quote. The catch is this: if a student takes a quote, they must replace it with their own! By the end of the school year, students will be inspired by their own classmates’ quotes!
What’s the best way to display this bulletin board? In the photo examples, I used twine and clothes pins to attach the Polaroid quote cards to the wall. I displayed the words “TAKE WHAT YOU NEED” on the top of the board and “GIVE WHAT YOU CAN” at the bottom of the board. You could also use push pins, paper clips or Velcro to attach the quotes. I used a wooden crate to display the blank cards!
