Simple Materials Needed per student: 1-2 pipe cleaners, glass or plastic cup, 3 Tbsp of Borax (40 g), 1 cup of very hot water (250 mL), popsicle stick or pencil, 6 inches (15 cm) of string or thread, spoon, goggles
Overview: Students shape pipe cleaners into holiday ornaments or other shapes depending on the season or holiday such as icicles, snowflakes, snowmen, pumpkins, flowers, etc., submerge the ornaments in the Borax solution overnight, and take it out to dry the next day.
