Montessori History of Clocks - Timeline and ordering activities

Discover how clocks have developed over time. Use these timeline and ordering activities to create hands-on learning activities about the history of clocks for your students. You can use these cards to teach children about the evolution of clocks! Students will work on memory, logic and reasoning, and sequencing skills.

Children will work on ordering skills and logic. Your students will be able to make their own timeline using this material. Offer them the cards featuring the objects and dates alongside a roll of paper. Children can draw a line down the center of the paper. Next, they can glue the date and object cards onto the paper roll.

Use the writing strips to make a small flip book and practice penmanship.

In addition, children can make their own 3-part cards. They can color the images and label the different ways clocks have changed throughout history.

This resource could be used in a Montessori primary or lower elementary classroom.
