Description
The binomial and trinomial cubes are two of the most well-known Montessori materials. They provide a sensorial and abstract purpose depending on when it is used. As with all Montessori sensorial materials, the cube has both a direct and an indirect purpose. The direct purpose of the binomial and trinomial cubes is to practice the steps to properly disassemble and build the cube, while refining dexterity and visual cues. Indirectly, they prepare the child for through concrete and visual exposure to the algebraic concepts of the binomial and trinomial equation.
This bundle includes a set of printable shapes to build both of the cubes. They measure the same in dimensions as traditional binomial ad trinomial cube material. The expanded equation with the terms is also presented for both the binomial and trinomial equations (a+b)3 and (a+b+c)3.
This bundle also includes a set of 20 printable 3-part cards showing the elements of the cube and how they relate to the binomial equation (a+b)3 (cubed) and (a+b+c)3 (cubed). They include the expanded notation of the binomial and trinomial equations. They measure the same in dimensions as the traditional cubes.
You can use these Classified 3-part cards in a variety of ways with your child(ren)!
