Description

Your students will have a blast counting and subitizing within 20 to hatch adorable monsters from colorful eggs! This fun and engaging digital counting game works will all interactive whiteboards (SMARTBoard, Promethean, Mimio), tablets and computer stations. A perfect game to use as a math center, for a whole class collaboration activity or for distance learning.

Note: An internet connection is required to play this game because the game runs directly from the pinkcatgames.com website.

The game includes 156 counting and subitizing questions within 20 using ten frames, dice, tally marks, objects and dominoes. Questions are separated into small sets so that you can choose specific sets to practice depending on your students’ needs. Quickly choose and save game settings, with the option to easily assign games to individual students or groups for differentiation.

Game Format:

This game runs directly from the pinkcatgames.com website. The website was created so that you can easily play and manage your Pink Cat Games. The website also allows you to easily save game settings with the option to assign games to students and groups. The first time that you visit the website you will be asked to create an account to manage your games. The following browsers are supported: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

How to Play

Whole Class Cooperation - The class works together on the interactive whiteboard to hatch monsters. Have one student at a time come up to the interactive whiteboard to answer a question. After 5 questions have been answered, the monster will hatch and then a new egg will appear. Each time you play, the hatching monster will be unique and the questions will randomize so the game is always exciting.

Small group or single player – Played on tablets or computer workstations (PC or Mac)

Start the game on a computer or tablet and allow the student(s) to play for a certain length of time. Tablets and computers can remain logged in to the student view so that students can easily pick their group or student picture and play a game.
