Here is a no-fuss, easy to implement money token economy system for the special education or general education classroom. Many students with understand that money has value, so it is a great backup reinforcer to use for students.
Token economies are a part of many special education classrooms. They are often used to increase appropriate behaviors. Using money as tokens is a great way to seamlessly blend your classroom management with teaching about money. This token economy system will allow students to use money to buy backup reinforcers, such as time on the computer or a favorite activity. Students will earn quarters or dimes for each period that they have appropriate behavior. This set also includes coin token economies for students who need more frequent reinforcement.
