    Description

    These Money Matching and Buying Items File folders includes materials to make over 85 file folders. Buying Items folders includes real size dollar bill manipulatives and materials to make file folders for 1:1 correspondence, Counting Bills, and Dollar Up. Money Matching File folders include Errorless folders, identical matching/sorting folders, and labeling coins and bills by value and name.

    Buying Items Folders:

    These “Buying Items File Folders” include materials to make 21 file folders with life size dollar bill manipulatives. The file folders include 3 variations: buying items for $1.00 (1:1 correspondence), buying items for several dollars that requires the students to count the appropriate number of dollar bills to match the price, and “dollar up.” Students slide the bills into the corresponding library pockets.

    There are 7 folders for each of the 3 variations (1:1 correspondence, counting bills, and dollar up) including: buying food, buying toys, buying clothing, and buying sports items (using clip art photos). There are also 3 folders for each variation that have real photos for buying food, buying toys, and buying clothing.

    2 versions of a counting bills visual template are included allowing the student to match the appropriate number of bills to the template before matching to the pockets on the file folder.

    * A minimum of 8 Library pockets (envelopes) are needed to create this task (holds a 3x5 size card)

    *Low prep directions allow you to create one file folder to switch out for all the 21 variations

    Included:

    -7 folders for 1:1 correspondence

    -7 folders for counting bills

    -7 folders for “dollar up”

    -21 folder labels

    -4 store templates (grocery, clothing, toy, and sports) to put on the folder

    - 2 versions of counting bills visual templates

    - Wallet clip art (for putting onto an envelope to create a wallet to store bills)

    - Realistic full size dollar bill manipulatives

    Money Matching File Folders

    These Money Matching File folders with Bills and Coins include the materials to make a total of 65 matching folders. Included in this set are errorless and identical matching folders for front and back full size bills (one, five, ten, twenty, fifty, and one hundred) and coins (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, and gold dollar). There are also matching folders for sorting/matching coins and bills, identifying the value of coins and bills, as well as labeling coins. These folders are differentiated to meet a variety of learners from students who would benefit from exposure to money to students who are learning the values.

    2 versions of this resource are included (A full version and a less prep version) An easy print page with direct links to pages in the resource is available as well.

    Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
