Description
This lesson teaches students about the three compromises relating to slavery before the Civil War. These compromises include the Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850 and the Kansas-Nebraska Act.
There are two versions of this product included. With the classroom version, I've included a visually appealing background information page, a blank map handout for students for coloring and labeling, and a presentation that brings everything together. The presentation includes a key.
The digital version relies less on on map coloring. Instead, students complete answers about the compromises and complete some drag and drop activities to access their understanding.
This zip file includes:
- a PowerPoint (fully editable)
- a PDF version
- a link to a Google Slides version - this is provided through a link in the lesson plan
- a link to a Google Slides digital version - this version is modified for independent student completion
