Description

Mise-en-scène is an important area to cover when studying and analysing film. I use this resource for screenshots of vital scenes in film, and also as a guide for students to make note about film elements (main five of Mise-en-scène) for the whole duration.

The table covers the following five elements of mise-en-scène, and as you will see in the available preview, each section in the table contains prompting questions to guide students' thinking and analysis.

- Settings and Props
- Costume, Hair and Makeup
- Facial Expressions and Body Language
- Positioning of Objects and Characters Within a Frame
- Colour and Lighting

- Space for 'other notes'

I have included two different styles (borders) for the table, and each design has a copy of the table that spans over 1 page, and then a copy that spans over two for students who like more room to record their responses.
