Mini-Guide for Middlers: The Hiding Place Interactive

This is a mini-guide (a two-week literature study) for the book titled The Hiding Place, by Corrie ten Boom. The Hiding Place relates the true story of a woman who lived her faith -- despite tremendous costs.

The mini-guide contains ten sections that include:

• vocabulary words and exercises
• discussion questions
• reading activities: idiom, suspense, viewpoints, alliteration, metaphor, personification, critical thinking, theme, compare/contrast
• life applications/Bible
• related activities
• web links
• a crossword puzzle
• an answer key
• activities that are able to be used as assessments

This interactive guide enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of this book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student, check out the options:

The reproducibles contain all of the fill-in-the blank activities found in the mini-guide; the reproducibles enable parents/teachers to use this guide with multiple students.

• When you purchase the reproducibles, you may print a copy for each of your students.

2) The guide is also available in workbook format:

• If you purchase the workbook, you do not need the reproducibles because all of the fill-in-the-blank activities are included in the workbook.
• There is room in this version of the guide for students to write the answers to all of the questions and to complete the activities.

• The content of the Interactive guide and the Workbook guide is the same; the only difference is spacing.
• Although this guide is classified as a Mini-Guide for Middlers, it may be used with Seniors too.
• The guide was revised and additions were made to it in November of 2020.
