Million Dollars from Aunt Matilda

This project is a basic covering of financial literacy, that allows students to explore purchases of their choice within limits. It is a lot of fun. My students love getting to research and dream about their futures. To do thouroughly, it should be done for about 2 weeks, but can be changed a bit to cover a shorter period of time. Students research careers leading to their choice college, purchase a vehicle, go on a dream vacation, buy a house, make a charitable donation, and invest in their future. There are no percents to calculate in this project. They will write checks, manage their balance on a ledger, and cross over to ELAR curriculum by writing a letter to close the project.
