A Sample Lesson from My Close Reader Bundle! Great as a standalone lesson

    Description

This Mega Bundle Includes all of my STATIONS Short Stories products for middle school students. Touches nearly every ELA Common Core State Standard.

Students complete workbook challenges at each station and rotate between stations at set intervals.

Each Product has one station dedicated to learning key vocabulary present in the text, so students feel more prepared when they read the short story. Additionally, a biography is included for each author giving insight into their lives, inspirations, and legacy.

Design began by focusing on specific standards to hit in each text. Common Core Rationale is included for each product explaining which standards are being addressed at each station. Teachers may use this information to guide their reading of the short story afterward.

Recommended For... teachers who want their students to develop learning and teamwork skills in small groups while mastering rigorous standards-based challenges.

    Includes Products Focusing on:

    • To Build a Fire by Jack London
    • The Lottery by Shirley Jackson
    • The Treasure of Lemon Brown by Walter Dean Myers
    • The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs
