Inquiring minds want to know - Who is Patient Zero?

This hands-on inquiry activity is designed to put the students in the driver's seat as the work to identify which of the 20 students come to school asymptomatic and spread the flu.

As the teacher you have the choice to use our video labs, demonstrate the flu outbreak to your class, or have your students play epidemiologist as they execute the lab in medical teams.

Whichever path you take, you students will have the opportunity to learn about epidemiology, contract tracing, AND solve who is Patient Zero. Student will use their their deductive reasoning skills and practive data anaylsis to identify which students spread the flu.

Great for Forensic UNKNOWN investigation units, perfect to work with germ units, and Elementary Science Inquiry unit lessons.

***PLEASE NOTE: If choicing to execute the lab for a classroom demonstration or having your students do the lab, there are supplies and two chemicals that need to be purchased seperately. What to buy and where to buy it on Amazon is included in the teacher prep guide.***
