This unit was great to end the year. Students were engaged in the material, and I liked the opportunities for creative writing and project.
Used with grade 8 English. I would probably recommend it more for grades 6 or 7 but it was high quality.

Description

This 50-page unit is designed to teach middle school students about the purposes, elements, and characteristics of mythology. Lessons center around:

1. Pourquoi Tales - Myths to explain why things are the way they are

2. Myths to explain natural phenomena

3. Origin Stories - Myths to explain the creation of the world

4. Greek Mythology - The Olympian Gods

UPDATED: Now includes a Google Slides version that can be used with distance learning.
