Description

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with this set of 23 reading passages, comprehension questions and word searches. Hispanic and Latinx figures recognized include athletes, singers, artists, scientists, activists and more. They include a mix of modern and historical figures (ex: Cesar Chavez, Bad Bunny, Ynes Mexia). Each set of comprehension questions has one extended response question. Most questions can be answered directly from the text. A few questions require using context clues, prior knowledge, and synthesizing information. This activity can be completed independently and is an excellent option for morning work, early finishers, sub plans or independent work stations. Happy teaching!
