Questions consist of True and False, multiple choice, fill in the blank and short answer. Answer key included.

**This lesson is HOMESCHOOLING / Coronavirus / Covid 19 / Schools Closed Ready**

Parents: Once you download the lesson, you can print page 1 and 2 (page 3 and 4 are the answer keys!) and have your child go to the website below to read the story and answer the questions as they read. To read the story, just click the green FREE PREVIEW button above.

It will take about 45 minutes for the students to complete the 32 question worksheet (depending on the student).

This is a classic Greek myth about flying too close to the sun or too close to the sea. This is a great short story for kids to learn about Greek Mythology.

This 32 question worksheet is designed with cost effective photocopying in mind. This is a two page worksheet that can be combined to a front/back copy using only 1 sheet of paper. No staples.

As a public school English teacher, the biggest challenge I have is getting students to read in class or at home. Put a book or short story in front of them, they'll look at it for a few seconds and start day dreaming... THEY DON'T FOCUS!

Until I stumbled upon something magnificent. Teenagers like accomplishment. These worksheets ask questions while the reader reads. Every couple of sentences, there's another question in true or false, fill in the blank, define, multiple choice formats. As the student reads, boom, another question. They answer it and continue reading. Before you know it, they have finished reading the story and completed all questions for further lessons/discussions.

These worksheets are great for daily lessons, test/quiz grades, extra credit, homework, group work (in pairs of two), substitute teacher lessons, emergency lesson plans, great for ESOL or however you can imagine.

FREE COMPLETE SAMPLE WITH KEY PROVIDED FOR "THE MAN TO SEND RAIN CLOUDS". Just search my other downloads for the free full lesson. If you like the full free sample, you will love this one!

This lesson is meant to help students focus on the reading while answering simple questions to keep them on track and focused. (check out my feedback for outstanding results).
