What educators are saying

WOW! These are a great addition to my math centers. I love how I only need to go over directions once and they will always know what to do no matter the skill. Thanks for sharing your talents.
I love that I’m able to easily differentiate and that students understand the routine so no interruptions during small group instruction. Memory Math Match game is a fan favorite in my classroom!

Playing Math Match is one of my first graders' FAVORITE math center activities! I love being able to teach my kids a math game one time and then play that game over and over throughout the year with different math skills. This saves so much time and helps students to be independent during math centers!

    How to Play Math Match:

    • Turn all cards face down in rows.
    • Take turns turning over 2 cards.
    • If it is a match, keep the cards and go again.
    • If it is not a match, turn the cards back over and it is the next friend’s turn.
    • After all matches are found, fill in the recording sheet.

    Other Ways to Play:

Match and Record: Students work independently or collaboratively to match all the cards as quickly as they can. When finished they can fill in the recording sheet.

Partner Pairing (Stand up, hand up, pair up): This is a whole group math activity to practice a skill. I also like using it when I want to partner up my students. I give each student a card. When I say go, all students stand up, put their hand up and walk around the classroom. They find a partner and high five. Partners check to see if their cards are a match. If they are they sit down together. If not they say, “Maybe next time” and continue walking around with a hand up looking for a new partner. This continues until all partners are matched up!

    • I also love using these cards at my small group table during math stations to practice a skill and as a fast finisher activity! There are SO many ways to use these cards all year long!
