Description
This 20 slide PowerPoint walks through an entire lesson on introducing memoirs in a narrative unit. It touches on the differences between biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs.
There is also a mini-game (3 questions) included in the PowerPoint that has an excerpt from each type of writing that allows students to guess in an in-class discussion what they believe the text excerpt to be from.
The PowerPoint is fully editable to make it fit any grade level, although this one was specifically made for 7th grade. There is also a daily starter slide as well as an assignment slide that can be modified as needed.
