Description
If I am being honest, teaching mechanisms of evolution used to be my least favorite topic to cover. It seemed that no matter how I explained it, my students just couldn't remember the five mechanisms of evolution, let alone recall that they are natural selection, gene flow, mutation, non-random mating, and genetic drift. That's when I decided to make a change, and I saw drastic results in my student's understanding of the mechanisms of evolution.
Does this sound like you? If so, transform your traditional lecture with this engaging and interactive ready-to-go lesson!
What's included?
This resource includes a Google Slides presentation that is already built with ready-to-go interactive Pear Deck slides.
This activity is designed so that students can either independently or with the teacher as a class discussion. It includes interactive slides using the Pear Deck add on for Google Slides. Pear Deck has free and paid versions. All of the slides included in this activity work with the FREE version. I have included the Quick Start Guide to Pear Deck in your teacher file for your reference.
Transform the way you give notes over the mechanisms of evolution using this resource. Students interact directly with the lesson through interactive slides distributed in the lesson on which students must type or answer a question about the topic.
This is a NO PREP lesson that is sure to get your students engaged throughout!
