In my Grade 1/2 gifted and talented classroom, I read 2 chapters per week and then students go and answer the questions in their books. Afterwards, we discuss answers, talk about what would have made "the best answer" and the students mark their own work as we discuss each answer. My students have thoroughly enjoyed this novel study.
