    Description

This mega bundle features more than 70 Tarsia jigsaw puzzles covering most areas of the maths curriculum from algebra to arithmetic, ratio to probability and more.

Each puzzle features numerous questions to solve, which then need to be matched up with their answers in order to piece the jigsaw together and solve the puzzle.

Maths jigsaw puzzles are great as a lesson starter activity, ready to settle your class as they come in, while reminding them of earlier lessons' work. They also make great formative assessment tools when completed in groups, allowing you to listen to your students as they discuss their understanding with each other.

    The jigsaw bundle includes:

Simplifying, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions

    Arithmetic with negative numbers

Rounding to decimal places and significant figures

Using BODMAS / BIDMAS / PEMDAS

Working with algebraic equations and expressions (solving equations, completing the square, factorising expressions, substitution etc.)

Converting between fractions, decimals and percentages

Finding percentages and fractions of an amount

    Formulae for the nth term

    Increasing and decreasing by percentages

    Laws of indices

Working with surds (rationalising the denominator, simplifying radicals, multiplying and dividing radicals)

    Converting numbers into standard form

    Simple probability

Simplifying ratios and sharing into ratios

The simplifying expressions jigsaw puzzle is shown in the preview.

All files are in printable PDF format with answer sheets included.

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
Understand two fractions as equivalent (equal) if they are the same size, or the same point on a number line.
Recognize and generate simple equivalent fractions, (e.g., 1/2 = 2/4, 4/6 = 2/3). Explain why the fractions are equivalent, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
