Math Towns (Geometry Unit)

This math unit is highly engaging and a wonderful way to teach collaboration and team work skills. I have actually used this unit for this reason, with the math component being the beautiful bonus!

Teamwork and collaboration skills suffered significantly during the pandemic and this unit provides students the necessary exposure to these skills.

It is a unit that has been formed around geometry and students will learn the following skills:

- Measurement

- Scale

- 3D shapes

- Angles

- Area and perimeter

- General arithmetic

There is also an ELA component of the unit. Students are required to create a property guide for their towns.

The unit is shared as a slideshow that is ready to share right to your projector/smart board etc. It is designed for the students to see. It will guide you through the unit and you won't have to worry about missing an important detail, it's all there for you! I love this because it frees up your cognitive space to help students, instead of focusing on what comes next.
