"The teacher has just won the lottery and has decided to give each student money to remodel their bedroom. However, in order to get the money, the student must complete different tasks to demonstrate that they are prepared to spend the money wisely and appropriately."

Students will draw a blueprint of their room, select paint color, select a new floor and fill up their room with furniture all while staying under budget! They will even have an opportunity to create a 3D model of their remodeled room.

The objective of this project is for students to put some basic math concepts to use in a real-life project. Students will use arithmetic, spatial reasoning, budgeting concepts, consumer math, technology and organizational skills to create a room remodel.

This product is geared towards middle school and high school students though includes an editable file for you to tailor to the needs of your students. It is set up with different activities so that they can be completed at home or at school depending on your preference. This is a great way to get students excited about applying math to real life situations.
