This 5-day project-based math resource applies math concepts in a real-world scenario to teach students about rounding to the nearest 10 and rounding to the nearest 100. •Background Knowledge: Using a KWL, students will build background knowledge around planning a school carnival.

•Concepts of Rounding to the Nearest 10: Students will learn how to round to the nearest 10 and use this skill to determine the number of people who have RSVP'd to the school carnival.

•Concepts of Rounding to the Nearest 100: Students will learn how to round to the nearest 100 and choose items for the carnival's goody bags.

•Concepts of Rounding on a Number Line: Students will learn how to round to the nearest 10 and the nearest 100 using a number line and choose activities for the school's carnival.

•Wrap Up: Students will review their plan and explain their decisions.
