    Description

Are you looking for a change from the traditional all sorts of pieces, lots of cutting a gluing, and time-consuming math interactive notebook? You've found your answer!

Using journaling notebooks to help support content and cement student knowledge is not new. It is proven that the more students work with new concepts, the better their mastery. Utilizing journaling notebooks allows students the opportunity to take ownership of their newly acquired knowledge.

No Fuss Interactive Math is an answer to the time-consuming cutting and pasting notebook-creating dilemma. Instead of a lot of cutting and pasting, students are WRITING and ILLUSTRATING standards-focused math strategies. The activities are QUICK, yet meaningful and strategic.

No Fuss Interactive Math lessons and activities are effective. This resource offers so much more than notebook opportunities. However, if you prefer the cut-and-paste method, those items are included, too!

Each No Fuss Interactive Math unit offers dialed-in lessons on specific topics. Accompanying those lessons are journaling opportunities that are perfect for intervention, small groups, and guided groups. However, they can also be done whole group.

What do my other kids do while I'm working with a small group during guided math/journaling?

Within this resource, there are plans for centers or rotations as well as the activities those other kiddos will be working on while you work with your journaling students to develop a deeper understanding of the topic.

    Why "No Fuss"?

Although extremely engaging and effective, No Fuss Interactive math takes all the prep work out of math journals and lessons. The lessons are concise, easy to follow, and call for student interaction, but leave out all the cutting and pasting (unless you want to! Optional cut & paste elements are included!!). The games are quick to implement too! No cutting and storing is needed! Each game in all of the No Fuss Interactive Math units require very little - dice, player tokens, and playing cards are the most you'll ever need!

This BUNDLE covers all 1st-grade math CCSS. Purchasing this BUNDLE is a HUGE savings over purchasing the units separately AND IT INCLUDES UNIT and BENCHMARK ASSESSMENTS!

These units are designed to work as a stand-alone math curriculum or as a supplement to any 1st-grade math curriculum.

No Fuss Interactive Math is designed to get rid of the busy work and is ink-friendly. Most of the components are black and white. Very little prep is required. The games require no prep or storage. You'll need dice, player tokens of your choice, and a deck of cards for the games in this series.

Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.
Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.
Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and how many more or less are in one category than in another.
Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
