Description

This Math Mystery Menu Guide includes my entire eight-grade list of math mysteries.

The teacher/student checklist and references are in table format. The table includes a brief outline of skills involved in a specific story packet. Tick the completed box as you, your class, or individual students finish a mystery packet. All of the story titles in the table are hyperlinked. You will be directed to the resource found in my TPT store by clicking on a linked title.

There is also a visual option to use as a checklist instead of the table format. The icons are hyperlinked to the product in my TPT store to check the skills outlined in the product descriptions. The checkbox to tick for completion is underneath each mystery packet icon.

I haven't 'locked' the pdf, so you should be able to edit it if needed. If you need it in PPT format, please email me at jjresourcecreations@gmail.com

You may also be interested in this Mystery Record and Rank Chart, which gives students an incentive to work through the mysteries. It is free to download and can be used in conjunction with the other type of mysteries found in my store.

Ways to use Math Mysteries:

Practice and review tasks (independent/pairs/groups)

- Early finisher task

- Sub-tub

- Enrichment (select a grade level higher to challenge advanced/gifted students)

- Homework/ Assignment

- Use as an assessment for learning or of learning. (Select a grade level lower to review at the start of the unit or on grade level to assess at the end of a unit.)

- The holiday/season-themed mysteries work well for spiral review sessions

- Complete as a class by pacing one clue at a time. Only move on to the next clue once the whole class has finished a clue.

- Use as part of your math centers (one clue at a time recommended)
