    Celebrate the heroism, determination, and impact of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr. by implementing this scavenger hunt research activity!

    This research activity and the included writing topics can be implemented in recognition of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, during Black History Month, or at any point during the school year!

    Students will use the scavenger hunt handout with a library of authentic photographs and research links in order to learn about Martin Luther King, Jr., his childhood, the people and events that influenced King’s beliefs, his role in the Civil Rights movement, his philosophy in facilitating social change, and how King impacted America and the world.

    The project also includes:
