Description
This is our Market Day Economics Project, it is very similar to our Full Project Based Learning Economics Unit, but has been paired down to only include the Marketplace Project piece. This unit uses a Financial Literacy Story to help teach students how to open their own small business.
The class will begin with a Classroom Economy where students will get paid, pay taxes, pay for classroom privileges, buy supplies for their business, pay rent and more. Each student will get their own Business Plan Workbook to work through each phase from choosing their business, their business name, how they want to advertise, what their hours would be, how much they should charge, where they get their supplies and what supplies they need, they practice being a shop keeper, and they get to actually open up their shop for a class Market Day.
