What educators are saying

Awesome activity, my students loved doing these and took a lot out of the lesson rather than just completing a workbook

    Description

This ELA craftivity bundle allows your students to practice those essential (and tested) standards in a fun way! This bundle consists of three engaging activities that coincide with the month of March. Students begin each activity by completing a series of worksheets. Then, they use their worksheet answers as they assemble each craftivity. These print-and-go activities can be used to decorate a student-centered bulletin board or school hallway display for March!

Your students will review these skills as they complete these activities:

    • The Saint Patrick's Day activity focuses on the skill of identifying the meanings of idioms. Students must read several sentences and use context clues to determine the meaning of the idiom. More than 20 idioms are included in this project!

    • The basketball activity requires students to differentiate between facts and opinions. Students read statements written on 18 basketballs and sort the facts and opinions. All of the statements are related to basketball, and some have statements related to March Madness.

    • The bird nests activity focuses on the skill of identifying the parts of speech. (This craftivity is 2-sided.) Students must determine whether the underlined word in each sentence is a noun, verb, pronoun, adjective, adverb, or preposition.

Fact and Opinion Craftivity (featuring basketball and March Madness!)

Each craftivity includes student-friendly directions that can be projected for students to refer to throughout the work time! An answer key is also included. Photos of the completed project are also included.

Here's what teachers like you had to say about using these craft activities with their students:

⭐️ Laura S. said, "Easy to match to our curriculum and they are much more engaging than just another worksheet."

⭐️ Jenna M. said, "Perfect packet for March review before Spring Break. \My students really enjoy these craftivities and have been able to review academic skills. Even my most difficult kiddos are engaged."

⭐️ Class and Contrast said, "Fun activities for students to create to provide structure, motor skills and educational practice! They have fun doing this and do not ever realize that they are practicing skills."

⭐️ Nancy M. said, "Amazing and timely--we completed the idiom craftivity last week and are looking forward to the fact/opinion project just in time for March Madness (which some say is a basketball tournament but I think is test prep season! :-) ) We all loved it!"
