What educators are saying

This was a great activity to get the students engaged with the content. I changed the instructions to say Instagram instead to make it more relevant to my class, but the kids absolutely loved it.
The kids were really into this activity and had some amazing artwork for the snapchat stories. Thanks!

Description

In this Mansa Musa and Islam resource on West Africa, students analyze a primary source of Musa's pitstop in Egypt on his way to Mecca on his holy pilgrimage. Once students answer the analytical questions, they use excerpts from the source to create a Snapchat story of Mansa Musa's experiences in Egypt. There are three versions of the Snapchat story to best fit the needs of your students!

Tons of fun, easy to implement, and a fun way to integrate modern technology!

This resource in included in my Islam and West Africa Unit Bundle!

A 1:1 Google compatible version is also included for the document analysis section of this lesson!
