What educators are saying

This resource was great fun for the children, they loved the short films and the questions really helped them think more deeply about what was happening in them.
Whenever I am reviewing a skill, I like using short films to go over that skill. Making inferences is typically a skill that my students struggle with on their end-of-the-year test. This gave us an engaging way of reviewing making inferences before we applied it to literature.

Description

UPDATED FORMATTING! (6/27/2015) If you own this, please download again! :)

I used this activity to reinforce my students’ inferencing skills and they LOVED it! I have included inferencing questions that correspond to several short films which are easily accessible online. The films range anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes. I found this activity to be particularly successful because the movies have no words, only music!

The following films are featured:
-One Man Band (Pixar)
-For the Birds (Pixar)
-Pigeon Impossible (Martell)
-Geri's Game (Pixar)
-Lifted (Pixar)

The activity requires the students to write down clues and the inference they were able to make.
