What educators are saying

Super engaging and the absolute perfect way to review inferences. I highly recommend all.of the jeopardy games from this creator. I have used them all!
My kids had a blast using this resource. They were truly engaged and having some great discussions among their groups.

Description

Making Inferences Level 1 Jeopardy style game show for 1st to 3rd Grade!

This download INCLUDES a copy for Google Classroom! Great for Distance Learning. The GC version does not include scoring and the point values do not disappear...this is just a limitation of Google Slides. However, the fun and learning are STILL THERE!

Tho this game does not have macros, I am told that Mac users are still not able to make it work. :( If you have a Mac, you'll want to pass on this one.

Want to have some FUN practicing making inferences? Here is a suggestion: a GAME SHOW!! Five fun categories that will get your kids laughing, thinking and having a good time. And, best of all, getting in lots of great practice with main idea!

Each slide includes two essential questions: Can you infer what is going on and how do you know that is the answer?

This lesson is differentiated for you! I've included a "blue wall" to cover the multiple choice answers. Now your students can try to make a guess without the answer choices giving them too many clues. OR, just click the screen for it to disappear. Now your students have choices to choose an answer. The second answer (How do you know that is the answer?) is NOT answered on the slide. It is there for classroom discussion.

Categories include:

Where: Infer where the characters are by clues in the sentences.

Emotions: Infer what the characters are feeling by clues in the sentences.

Who: Infer who the characters are by clues in the sentences.

What: Infer what time of day, season, or what object is being talked about from clues in the sentences.

Picture This: Look at a picture and infer what is going on there.

Having problems? Don't fret! And certainly don't give feedback yet! Let's get this game going! Just drop me an email at iTeachTinyToes@gmail.com so I can get it working for you. Then, of COURSE you'll want to leave some love so you'll get credits for future TpT purchases! Also, let me know which contestants you'd like to see on the show!

If you have a smartboard or any other type of interactive whiteboard, you can also use the projection from those and just use the interactive portion without having to convert the file to whatever it is you use! If you're able to "play" a regular powerpoint, you should be able to play this one too!
