Description

Are your students convinced of their right answers without using all available text evidence? This game uses riddles with 3 hints to prompt students to make inferences. Print and play using up to 24 pre-made bingo cards. You can choose to print 1 per page or 2 per page. During the game, the teacher reads the clues aloud, pausing between each clue to allow think time. Students make an inference and cover the answer if it's on their cards. A mini-poster about inferencing is also included. Perfect for interventions!

Play this game digitally using Easel Activities. Students can use the bingo card that corresponds to their classroom number or randomly choose a card. A teacher draws a calling card and reads the clues aloud. This can be in a classroom setting or online via a video conferencing platform like Zoom. Students use the pen tool to mark the correct answer if it is on their bingo card.

The following items are included:

• 24 pre-made bingo cards, 1 per page (24 pages)

• 24 pre-made bingo cards, 2 per page (12 pages)

• 48 calling cards, each with a riddle & 3 clues (6 pages)

• Inference Bingo teacher notes (1 page)

• Bingo in the Classroom ideas (1 page)

• Making an Inference poem poster (1 page)

• TOU & Credits (1 page)

• Easel Activities version

• Easel Assessment

I deliberately created riddles that could have multiple answers until the third and final clue was read. Students are often impatient and blurt out answers they are convinced are correct...but this game makes the point that it's always best to gather all available evidence before making a final inference.

I’d appreciate your purchase, your rating, and your feedback.
