Makerspace Rubric and Reflection (Projects too!)

Keeping upper elementary and middle school students accountable during Makerspaces and other hands-on activities can be difficult! Students must know that the final product matters and so does their work ethic! This universal rubric and reflection packet can help students stay on task. I call it my quick & simple rubric!

The rubric has two sections--one for the student and one for the teacher. The student rates their craftsmanship, effort & time management, finished project, and care of materials. The teacher rates students on the same criteria.

The reflection page includes 3 questions and asks students to reflect on their process and if the final product/Makerspace station can be improved. Simple, but accountable.
