What educators are saying

This was a great way to review Main Idea with my 6th graders. I loved that it got them up and moving after lunch and kept them engaged the whole time.
This was an easy to use resource that gave my students practice on specific skills in a STAAR format.

Description

5th Grade Main Idea Task Cards

This resource includes 60 total task cards that have been painstakingly crafted to prepare your kiddos for the rigorous Texas STAAR! Of course, they can be used by anyone who would like to strengthen their students' skills in main idea, supporting details, obtaining text evidence, and inference. Use in stations, warm-ups, exit tickets, tutoring, SSI tutoring, partner work, whole class, or however you like!

This resource could be used for grades 4-8, depending on your kiddos of course-- however, it is intended for 5th grade as it is based on the 5th grade standards and modeled after STAAR test questioning (even the same font!).
